my best guess is this is the point where the cad drawings and reality underground meet, i.e the point from which all measurements in cad and reality are ultimately anchored

This isn't a physics-related question, but I'm still curious. Perhaps others might know the answer. -- Why is the 'j' in Ettore's Italian name prounounced like an English 'y' (or a German or Czech 'j')? Is the letter 'j', not a standard letter in Italian orthography, usually pronounced with a 'y' sound? I guess I would have expected it to be pronounced like a soft Italian 'g' instead.

Excellent question here's what we found out. Italy is a relatively new country having been unified in 1871. Prior to that time, the country was divided into a series of small kingdoms/city states. As a result, the local languages were related but often not exactly the same. The present Italian language tends to being more standardized as northern Italian, e.g. Milanese, but more isolated places have retained some of their own dialects to an extent. The following is an excerpt from www.conigliofamily.com/TheSicilianLanguage.htm# “Vowels in the Sicilian language have the following sounds (phonetics are in English): A is “ah”; E is “eh” (“long a”); I is “ee”; O is “oh” (“long o), and U is “oo”. “A, E, I, O, U” in Italian is “ah, eh, ee, oh, oo”!! The English sound of I (“long i” as in “eye”) is given by the combination “ai” in Sicilian. Sicilian has no letter "k", "y" or "w". It has a letter written like "j", but this "j" is a 'long-tailed' form of the letter "i", and is pronounced as we would pronounce "y" in English. In Sicilian spellings, "c", if it is followed by "a", "o" or "u", is pronounced like the English "k"; but if it is followed by an "i" or "e", then "c" is pronounced like the English "ch" (as in "church"). Double "cc" is also pronounced as the English "K". "ch" in Sicilian is NOT pronounced as in English, but sounds like the English "k". So my cousins, the Miccichè family, pronounce their surname "mee-chee-KAY". Similarly, "g" is pronounced as in the English "good" if followed by "a", "o" or "u"; but "g" is pronounced like the English "j" (as in "George") if it is followed by an "i" or "e". In Sicilian pronunciation, the "g" sound at the start of words is often "swallowed", and sometimes also the middle of words. The "g" is silent when followed by the consonant "l". The consonant "z" at the start of a word is generally pronounced as in English, while "zz" is pronounced "tz" as in "pizza". There is no "j", as such, in the Sicilian language. When the letter "i" has the sound a "y" has in English, it is written with a tail and looks like a "j" but it is not pronounced like the English "j". For example: "jiri" (English phonetics: YIH-rih); "jiurnu" (YOUR-noo); "saju" SIGH-you) etc.” Hope this helps.

Dark matter is ignorance of space body evolution by stupid scientist. they are too darn lazy to find correct understanding so they manufacture lie and present fictional matter to hid their ignorance. There is no dark matter. Search is a international scam to steal public money looking for non existing matter. I have told corrupt western leaders, universities and scientist to prove me wrong and get £10,000 + interest for their charity. 11 years no one had the ball to prove me wrong. Angela Merkle administration, science advisers and German universities did not have the intelligence or comprehension to appreciate my offer, she did not give me permission to release the correct science which would have ended all dark matter scams. Markus Horn, have you the ball to prove me wrong? or you are happy to continue to be part of scam.

It is like announcing the first result of search for father Christmas. if any one find the real one must have faked it. when will anglo american wake up and face reality. My Grandfather told fritz zuicky, there is no dark matter. Dunkle materie was ignored in Europe. Zuiky noticed Anglo American love for German science established German scientist (agent)’s concoction easily by a lie. Nazi sympathizers for their agent and Jewish for his religious background took picture of starlight bent by sun’s corona matter (space dust / plasma) and lied telling public it was bent by gravity. No space dust / plasma = no bending of light or lenssing effect. So Fritz Zuiky went to America. They embraced his idea as American science after Robin’s result. Soon conmen started scam to capitalise from it. Now it is multi billion Euro international scam Stealing public money looking for non-existing matter. I have told major western leaders and universities. They are reluctant to consider the fact, as it will end their scams also will show they have been coned over a century by a conman and their own ignorance. It is hard to fight the powerful people behind science scams. There is no dark matter. I pay £10,000 + interest to any one proves me wrong. Last leader Angela Merkel and her administration like American and British did not have the intelligence or comprehension to appreciate my offer. She did not give me permission to release correct science publicly. Now that privilege goes to Chinese or Russian leader. So all of you working or associated with dark matter presenting you contribution are part of international scam & deception pretending to do science. don't go mad, have the ball to take my offer and prove me wrong. I know you will not do it, because you do not want to publicly confirm your ignorance.

There is an elephant in the room explanation for the abnormally high rotation rates of stars in spiral galaxies (the reason for the theory of dark matter). We have all heard the phrase "mass becomes infinite at the speed of light". This phenomenon is illustrated in a common relativity graph with velocity (from stationary to the speed of light) on the horizontal line and dilation (sometimes called gamma or y) on the vertical line. Mass that is dilated is smeared through spacetime to an outside observer. Even mass that exists at 75% light speed is partially dilated. Wherever you have an astronomical quantity of mass, dilation will occur because high mass means high momentum. 99.8% of the mass in our solar system is in the sun. 99.9% of the mass in an atom is in the nucleus. If these norms are true for galaxies than we can infer that there is 100's of trillions of solar masses at the center of common spiral galaxies. There is no way to know this through observation, there is far too much interference, dilation and gravitational lensing. If we attribute a radius to these numbers than we can calculate that relativistic velocities exist in these regions the same way we could calculate the surface velocity of the sun if we doubled it's mass. The mass at the center of our own galaxy is dilated. In some sublime way that mass is all around us because as the graph shows we are still connected to it. Einstein formulated relativity before the existence of other galaxies was confirmed. Its clear that the mass is dilated though the galaxy and not the universe as a whole. It was recently discovered that low mass galaxies (like NGC 1052-DF2) have normal star rotation rates. This is what relativity would predict because there is an insufficient quantity of mass at the center to achieve relativistic velocities. This is virtual proof that dilation is the governing phenomenon in galactic centers, there can be no other realistic explanation for this fact. A simple way to confirm this would be to calculate the star rotation rates of a large number of galaxies. This would show that all the high mass galaxies would have star rotation rates that defy the known laws of physics and all the low mass galaxies (some galaxies can appear to be low mass but can have high mass at the center) would have normal star rotation rates.

It is a pity the poor diffusion and the underestimated disclosure for the general public on this subject; which, among other things, should be in the news headlines in relation to the work already done by the James Webb telescope. This denotes displeasure of Lux-Zeplin spokespersons with their Funders and the Communities.

Es una lástima la pobre difusión y la desestimada divulgación para el gran público sobre este tema; que, entre otras particularidades, debería estar en los titulares de las noticias en relación con el trabajo que ya hace el telescopio James Webb. Esto denota displicencia de los voceros de Lux-Zeplin con sus Financiadores y las Comunidades.
